Coalition membership benefits
Christmas trees among growers have worn the mantel of a sacred
commodity for many years and have not been marketed in a contemporary
way. The Coalition, on the other hand, has a different point of
view as it relates to the sales and marketing of the trees.
The Coalition sees Christmas trees as consumer goods. The advantage
of that view is that your trees go from commodity to elegant consumer
goods. By replacing commodities such as gasoline, eggs or butter,
the trees become a personal purchase in which emotion is a major
factor in the purchase (which they already are) but have not been
marketed that way.
In addition to the independent certification process, whose value
will be manifested many times over both with customers as well as
consumers, the Coalition will offer marketing of relevant services.
The Coalition offers contemporary marketing services to all its
members. The cost of the nationwide education and awareness campaign
for the live Christmas tree industry is included in your annual
membership fees.
The public relations/marketing firm that was instrumental in presenting
the world's first designer tree is the same firm that will be marketing
for this grower's coalition. That company has shown that it knows
how to market and promote agricultural products to the mass audience.
